Emerald

Lately I have been obsessed with green. Unfortunately, I think my obsession is a little late since emerald is no longer the color of the year.
I have always liked the color, since I feel it goes well with my skin tone, my hair (no matter blonde or brunette), and my green eyes. Plus the color really makes them pop. When I found this shirt last fall, I was so happy, because I had wanted one in this style and color for some time. But could never find one that made me truly happy (me being picky…shocking I know). So even though emerald is no longer the color of the year, it’s still a color I intend to wear regularly.

Elbow Patches + Sequins = Obsessed

Sequins, sequins, sequins.
Lately I just cannot get enough sequins. This sweater has quickly become one of my favorite sweaters. I’m a sucker for elbow patches normally, but make them out of sequins, and could there be anything better? This style has been very popular this fall/winter season, and as soon as I saw it, I knew I needed one. The only problem with popularity however, is everywhere has been selling out before I could get my hands on one. I finally got mine for Christmas from my wonderful boyfriend, and I’m so happy I did.

Invested

Hey y’all! Let me start by saying that I’m so sorry I haven’t posted in almost a week. You would think with the holiday on Monday I would have had plenty of time to get things done and be productive. However, holidays tend to have the opposite effect on me. Add in the fact that it’s been freezing here (by Florida standards anyway), and I’m even less productive. I’m finally back into the swing of things, so I hope you enjoy this post, and I hope you are all staying warm.

Let me start by saying I’m not big on jackets, which is unfortunate this week especially. Now don’t get me wrong, I love jackets; it’s just that I am so dang picky when it comes to buying them. The thing I’m not so picky about buying is a vest; especially when the one below was only $20 and the color is amazing. The fact that it is fleece lined, and keeps me extra warm, is also an added bonus. Some days you have to wear a jacket, but for days you can get away with it, vests are another great alternative to keeping you warm.

Sunday Sequins

Let me start by saying I’m in love with this skirt.

A completely sequined skirt is nothing new, but a completely sequined maxi? That is something new, at least to me. I first saw a skirt like this in early fall while online shopping, and was smitten with the idea, but not quite sure how I would style it. Fast forward to NYE outfit shopping and seeing one in person, I knew I had to try it on. At that point I still wasn’t 100% sure how I would wear it. But sometimes you just got to go for it. Since it is so flashy, I think the key to keeping it from being over the top is simplicity everywhere else. The only thing I would add to this outfit is maybe a small statement necklace or a graphic tee instead so it isn’t too plain.

Skirt: Windsor Store / Top: Target (love this as well) / Shoes: Bandolino old (similar here also love these) / Watch: Michael Kors / Lipstick: Mac Candy Yum-Yum

What do y’all think? Is this a style you hope to see more of or do you think it’s to over the top?
