1-Year Blogiversary

Wow I can’t believe I started this blog a year ago, and what a year it has been.
My actual 1-year blogiversary was last Tuesday, but as I told y’all yesterday I have been way, way behind!
First I want to say thank you so so much for reading my blog. I truly appreciate you coming back to read even though I sometimes go MIA on here for a while.
I have learned so much in the past year and would like to share some of that here.
The first thing I have learned is blogging is not easy. I feel like you read these blogs and follow the bloggers on instagram and its like “OMG they have the perfect life and just go out and take really cute pictures on a daily bases.” Well, I have learned that’s not exactly true at least not for me. While I love blogging you have to come up with outfit ideas, you have to write a post, you then have to take the pictures, and all of this has to be done with the million and one other things you have going on in your life.
The second big thing I have learned is that I really enjoy this, and need to make more time for it. As busy as I may be I really want to be more consistent with posting.
The third and last thing I learned is I may not be a huge, popular blogger; but I really enjoy this. And for those of you that come here and read my posts, I really cannot thank you enough. You make this all worthwhile!

The Dry Bar

Hey y’all! Oh. My. Gosh. It’s been forever since I have posted. There has been so much going on lately, and so much to do and see. Also with the time change earlier last month, I can no longer take pics during the week after work because it’s dark. Which means I have to add that to my already long to-do list on the weekends. I promise to try way harder to post more frequently!
Moving on to today’s post!
Today I’m sharing with y’all my experience at the dry bar last weekend. I got a gift-card for my birthday, from my lovely friend. And I was so excited to go and get my blowout. Let me tell you it was such a wonderful experience and I cannot recommend it enough. I went to the Murray Hill location and Roxanne was my stylist. (She was amazing and if you go you should seriously request her.) When I got there I got a glass of champagne and then headed back. They have a few different styles you can choose from and I went with the Cosmo. After I picked my style Roxanne took me back to wash my hair. If you’re like me my favorite part of getting my hair done is the wash, because they massage your scalp and it just feels amazing. After that she dried and curled my hair and I could not be happier with the results! I think the best part is it’s the same thing you would do to your hair at home; but someone else is doing it for you. I don’t know about y’all but some days I just don’t want to do my hair or make-up. It can get so tiring; so going to the dry bar would be a real treat once in a while or for special occasions.

Sweater Weather

Sunday was an absolutely gorgeous day here in NYC. Since it was such a pretty day my friend and I decided to head to Central Park for a picnic, and some exploring.
Although it was gorgeous, it was a bit on the chilly side for this Florida girl. With that being said, I’m so glad I snagged this chunky knit sweater the day before from H&M. I threw on a light ¾ sleeve shirt underneath, and it was perfect for a day in the park. This sweater is seriously so cozy and soft, and for the price you really can’t beat it.
I love big oversized sweaters for the weekend when running around or hanging with friends. Throw on some jeans, some boots, and a scarf or hat, and I instantly feel put together.
I have linked the sweater along with some others I have my eye on below.

Sweater: H&M (also loving thisthis, and this) / Undershirt: Bella Dahl old (similar here) / Jeans: Paige from Nordstrom Rack (similar here) / Boots: Old (similar here) / Tote: Free from Atlanta Market (similar here) / Sunglasses: Betsy Johnson old (almost identical here

Fall Trend Friday: Fringe

Hey y’all.
So today I have 2 things to share with you.
First things first: I’m a blonde again!! Normally I like to go dark in the winter but I’ve been somewhat on the darker side for a while now. So I decided to change things up before I moved to NYC last week!
Second, it’s a huge trend for fall; which is fringe. I love this trend and can’t get enough. You can find it on jackets, boots, and purses, literally everywhere. I got this purse almost 2 months ago and finally got a ton of use out of it this week. I like that it can be worn two ways, which you can see in the photos below. I also must say the city is bringing out my inner badass. I’ve been wearing a lot of black, white, grey, leather, etc. and this fringe purse is the perfect touch.

Top: Victoria Secrets old (similar here) / Pants: Denimocracy / Jacket: American Eagle old (similar here and here) Boots: old (similar here and here) / Purse: Aldo / Sunglasses: Rayban / Lipstick: Mac in Flat out Fabulous

So what do y’all think about my blonde hair, and about the fringe trend?
